Market Square Park counts down to the popular River Revival Music Festival with a new, FREE monthly concert series featuring live music from regional heavy hitters. Brought to you by Splice Records, Saint Arnold Brewing Company and the Downtown District, you’re guaranteed good music, good times and good vibes.

Money Chicha is an Austin-based group featuring members of the Grammy-award winning Latin orchestra Grupo Fantasma and its offshoot funk outfit Brownout. Inspired by the sounds of Peru and Columbia in the ‘60s and ‘70s, the group’s style of music is percussion-heavy and reverb-drenched — sometimes called “chicha” music. The infectious Latin beat consists of congas, cowbell and timbales, producing vibrant music that’s guaranteed to make you dance! Get ready to move and groove when Money Chicha make their Downtown debut at Market Square Park!

Mia Borders is a singer-songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana whose powerful vocals have made her a standout figure in the regional music scene. Citing Bill Withers and Etta James as influences, Borders mixes soul, funk, R&B and electronic music to create a "lusciously sly and sultry" sound. Borders has performed everywhere from Essence Festival and Santa Cruz Blues Fest to Brazil’s Bourbon Street Music Festival and The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, and has shared bills with B.B. King, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lee Fields and Marc Broussard. She has released six LP albums, three singles and three EPs - the latest being "Good Side of Bad" in 2019.
